Most of us like pizzas because the cheese on them tickle the taste buds and the olfactory system. Some of us have the non stop approval from the brain for any kind of cheese. Cheese plays a very important role in culinary and it has the power to majorly enhance the sensation of food.
Although I like cheese I have never made one myself. I have been to cheese factories where I have seen them made the traditional way and how some cheese are matured in caves.
I stumbled upon a simple method for making my own cheese. What intrigued me here is the fact that this cheese is made from yoghurt rather than milk!
The cheese is called 'Labneh' and is Lebanese. All I had to do is add a pinch of salt to 8z of Greek style yoghurt and wrap it tight on a clean handkerchief. The whey separates from the mix which is left overnight in a refrigerator and is collected in a bowl.
Tada! The soft cheese is ready. It can be marinated in herbal oils and olives but I can eat it simply as a spread over my toast.
